About Me: Kate Nagy-Counselor & Yoga Teacher
EMDR Trained for Trauma Therapy specializing in Women's Mental Health & LGBTQIA+ population,Yoga specializing in Trauma Informed & Family Yoga to promote healthy attachment and joy!
My name is Kate Nagy (she/her) and I am an experienced clinical counselor and have a demonstrated history of working in the person helping field for over 10 years.
I am a practicing yoga student and yoga teacher with areas of specialization in restorative, trauma informed and children and families. My first career was a Special Education teacher so I have big heart for children and I am a mother myself.
About five years into my career I realized that teaching was limiting in providing the social and emotional care that I wanted to for youth so I went back to school where I obtained my Masters in School Counseling and Post Masters in Clinical Mental Health in the state of Ohio.
Throughout all of that I had powerful yoga teachers who helped to ground me and teach me the power of the mind and body connection. What I learned was that yoga and mindfulness gave me a safe place to feel safe within myself . What a gift it was when I learned how complementary the hollistic practices were to the trauma informed work I was already doing as a clinician.
The purpose of this page is to provide strictly psychoeducation and encouragement during a time where positivity is hard to see and feel. If you are in crisis please call 911, text 988 and/go to the nearest emergency room.
My goal is to help you ground in through mindfulness, yoga, Integrative wellness, and healthy regulation tools that are based on your strengths so you can soar.
If you are seeking clinical counseling services and are in the state of Ohio, you can schedule a free consult you may email me at: knagy@colorsofseasons.com or email me at that same place for individual/family yoga services. Both are offered in person and virtually.
